Teaching & Tutoring
Here is a quick overview of the tutoring I offer — in case any of it is useful to you or someone you know. I started tutoring as a university employee in 2017 and enjoyed it so much that I have not stopped since. I work with high school, undergraduate, and graduate students. For high school students, I cover AP Calculus, AP Physics, AP Statistics, and SAT Math prep. For undergraduates, I am happy to help with any physics or mathematics course — including calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, and statistics — plus introductory computer science and Python programming. For test prep I specialize in GRE and GMAT quantitative sections (I scored a perfect on the GRE quantitative section, for what it is worth). I tutor in person around the NYC area and online via Zoom. If you are curious whether tutoring would help, I offer free consultations to discuss your goals and how I can help you achieve them. You can reach me atTeaching
Throughout my career I have taught a variety of labs and recitations, including General Physics 1 and 2 labs while at NYU, classical mechanics and electromagnetism recitations, and the Introduction to Astronomy lab at CUNY Hunter College. I try my best to make as many of my teaching resources available to the public as possible, although property rights and copyright restrictions sometimes prevent me from doing so. I am currently teaching two Astronomy 102 labs; the linked materials are below. Credit for the simulations belongs to my colleague Emanuele Martinuzzi.
